I'm a program manager with a background in geospatial analysis and I advocate for the maximum use of open source software in all of the projects I'm responsible for.
I've participated in open source projects for a few years now and have an interest in GeoNode, QGIS, GeoWave and GeoGig. One of the projects I worked on is GeoSHAPE (http://geoshape.org). I attend FOSS4G whenever I can for the great community and to keep up on the latest with open source geospatial software. +

He has provided GIS consulting services to organizations in New Zealand and Australia, focusing on FOSS4G desktop and web mapping solutions. In the 90’s and 00’s Simon was chair of the MapInfo User Group in New Zealand for 16 years. Simon has also been involved in organizing FOSS4G SotM Oceania events. +

I have known Bomp for many years now, and have worked with him in Japan while he was doing his graduate schooling under Venka-sensei. Bomp regularly gives workshops and talks on various OSGeo projects, and his youthful enthusiasm rubs off on students. He is now a researcher at Naresuan University in his beloved home country of Thailand, where I am sure he will continue to promote OSGeo. He has worked very hard to promote OSGeo and I want to thank him for this.

promotes OSGeo in Thailand.
He also regularly attending geospatial and open source related conferences
across Asia, and would be a valuable Charter Member.
