The incubation committee is a relaxed supportive environment with meetings every second month. Being a mentor is not a stressful volunteer activity (as your are simply acting as a point of contact and a guest on the project email list) and it is a great way to get involved in the foundation.

		+	Jeroen Ticheler is the project mentor for gvSig.

		+	The gvSig desktop application entered incubation in 2007, with no recent progress reported against incubation goals in 2011. The team has been focused on the upcoming gvSIG Desktop 2.0 where the provenance review required for graduation is scheduled to occure.

		+	It has however been a busy year for gvSIG - with a release of gvSIG Desktop 1.11 in April and continued involvement in the OSGeo live project.
