Hi!

My name is John Collinson. I have worked within the geospatial space as a software engineer for the past 10 years. First for my local county council, followed by a brief stint with a international retailer, and finally at the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office.

Here's a brief decsription of what I've worked on...

-> I have developed spatial data warehouses using technologies such as Oracle Spatial and PostGres/PostGIS.

-> I have built complex ETL routines to consolidate data from multiple sources and multiple formats into various destinations.

-> I have built application tier components to implement spatial querying, routing, analysis and more, served up in different ways such as via web services, RPC services and the like.

-> I have implemented OGC services such as WMS/WFS.

-> I have built presentation tier components to display spatial data, largely involving web applications.

Above all, I love working with geospatial technologies and am brimming with enthusiasm.
