She is currently pursuing a master’s degree focused on graph-based scheduling optimization, formulating scheduling as a selective list coloring problem. Her research combines graph theory, optimization, and machine learning to improve real-world resource allocation problems.

Luiza has been an active user and advocate of FOSS4G tools and presented at FOSS4G 2024 on “Uber's Open Source H3 Index in Open Source Projects: Simplifying Distance Calculation and Data Storage" (https://talks.osgeo.org/foss4g-2024/talk/VJQSYT/).”

Beyond her professional and academic work, Luiza is passionate about rock climbing, jiujitsu, and building silly tools that make life easier. Her main programming languages are Python, SQL, Bash.

Also this year, after the conference, there will be the '''OSGeo community sprint'''.

Participation is free of charge and anyone involved or interested in getting involved in OSGeo community projects is welcome.

You can choose to contribute to one or more projects. The sky is the limit. There’s always plenty to do – and it’s not all about programming. Translation, documentation, feedback, discussions, and testing are very important for projects! Conference registration is not a prerequisite for participation in the community sprint.
